It is no longer breaking news that some Nigerians have long questioned Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, an APC presidential candidate, on where he got his money from.
Those who have questioned Tinubu’s financial history have received an open response from him.
He observed that many people who criticized the source of his wealth were motivated by envy. He apparently stated on Channels Tv that if he didn’t run for politics, he wouldn’t support Peter Obi or Atiku.
I do not downplay my fortune. Since my resignation, I have not accepted any jobs or contracts with the government despite being the governor in the opposition who was most frequently investigated and charged for eight years.
He added that he does not send any resources from Lagos to the state government. It’s great that Tinubu revealed his wealth to Nigerians because it will stop his rivals from spreading unfounded allegations about him during this election season.
