Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, attended the 70th annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Redemption City.
The announcer welcomed Obi to the convention, saying, “We welcome to the Redemption Camp for the first time Mr. Peter Obi.”
The congregation cheered him with loud applauds as the announcer introduced him.
Recalls that Obi stormed the Dunamis International Gospel Centre on Friday night, July 29th, 2020, a visit that made the congregation go wild.
Explaining why he attended the programme, Obi, in his tweet, wrote: “I spent an uplifting and exhilarating 8 hours of fellowship amongst fellow Nigerians @DunamisGospel 2022 Mid Year Praise and Worship, with @DrPaulEnenche, his family and other dignitaries.
“I used that auspicious occasion to thank God.”
Men of God present that the RCCG programme tagged ‘Perfect Jubilee’, includie Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries and President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Wale Oke; the National Superintendent of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria and National Treasurer of the PFN, Reverend Sam Aboyeji.
Others are Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, who his wife represents.
