Police Parades Twenty Five members of Secret Cult in Osun

Twenty-five members of an alleged cult have been detained by the Nigeria Police, Osun State Command.

According to the Command, the cult has been terrorizing the citizens of Ile-Ife in the state’s Ife Central local government area.

According to reports, they were detained after going on the rampage on Monday, vandalizing homes and causing numerous injuries.

While some of the suspects denied having any cultish affiliations, others admitted to being members of the Eiye Secret Confraternity.

According to Patrick Kehinde Longe, the commissioner of police for Osun, the apprehended individuals are being held at the police headquarters in Osogbo.

They have been detained at the Police headquarters, according to Theophilus Adesokan Adekola, the Command’s Assistant Police Public Relations Officer.

He also stated that pending the end of investigations the suspects will be charged to cult“Peace and orderliness had been restored in Ile-Ife. I advise residents to go about their lawful businesses with the assurance that the police would ensure their safety.”
