Sunday Bisi, a former acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) branch in Osun State, has been chosen to serve as the formal party leader.
At the party’s state congress, which took place on Wednesday at the Osogbo Township Stadium, Bisi was chosen.
As party delegates from the state’s 30 local government areas chose new party leaders, Governor Ademola Adeleke was also present at the congress.
Additionally, Bola Ajao was re-elected to serve as the ruling party’s state secretary.
Akindele Adekunle served as the Osun PDP’s interim chairman up to the vote on Wednesday.
