is no longer news that it has been enforced that the old Naira notes shouldn’t be accepted anymore, and in response to this the citizens in Otukpo, Benue State took matters into their own hands to protest against the law.
Earlier today being Wednesday, the 15th day of Frebruary, 2023, protesters in Otukpo, Benue State burned tyres and block the roads along the Enugu Roundabout in Otukpo. See some of the photos from the protests below.
It hasn’t been long since the law was enforced by the Nigerian government that the old Naira notes shouldn’t be accepted anymore, and a lot of people didn’t take that too well due to the scarcity of the notes in the country.Otukpo citizens however, weren’t that happy as they took to the Enugu Roundabout to protest.
