Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, has said his reason for going to markets for campaign, was to return Nigeria from a consumption country to a production country, saying that markets remain the roots for business opportunities, as reported by Vanguard.
Obi made the statement during an interview with the Channels TV, he said: “My reason for going to markets and campaign is simple.“I always said that the country need to go back from consumption to production, and you cannot achieved that without roots to the functional markets in the country.
“I want to interact with business people and traders, and visit the agriculturalists, industrialists hearing what is their problem and be able to promise them of better future if I win the forthcoming election.”Peter Obi on his agenda for small scale business if elected president, he said: “The productive area, the greatest employer of labour in any economy is Micro, Medium, and Small Enterprises. From India to Indonesia and China, they are all driven by equal economy.”
