The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has threatened to censure Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, for working against the party.
PDP Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
Damagum’s remark came after the Rivers State conflict between Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The clash between the two led to the defection of 25 PDP lawmakers in the state to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Approximately seven commissioners have also resigned from their positions.
President Bola Tinubu, enraged by the schism over control of the state’s political structure and finances, forced the couple to sign a peace pact following a meeting at the state capital.
