The families of 20 killed police officers have received checks from the Jigawa State Command totaling N29, 280, 412:07.
This was revealed in a statement released from the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam.
According to him, the IGP’s Family Welfare Insurance Scheme, which is provided to the families of deceased police officers, includes the presenting of the checks.
While handing out the checks, Commissioner of Police Effiom Emmanuel Ekot expressed his gratitude for the Inspector General of Police’s efforts to enhance the welfare of the Nigeria Police Force’s officers and men.
He asked the recipients to wisely spend the funds for the benefit of their families.
