Speaker Abbas condemns killings in Plateau

Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has strongly condemned the recent attacks on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State that occurred on Christmas Eve.

He referred to the attacks as barbaric and heinous, expressing great concern over the significant loss of lives during these distressing times.

The Speaker highlighted the worrying pattern of attacks carried out by gunmen, bandits, and other criminal elements targeting innocent Nigerians. He called upon the security and intelligence agencies to take proactive measures to prevent further loss of lives and properties not only in Plateau State but also in other parts of the country.

In addition, he urged the security agencies to diligently pursue and bring the perpetrators of these despicable acts to justice. Emphasizing the urgent need to halt the continuous loss of lives and properties in Nigeria, Speaker Abbas urged for decisive action to address this distressing trend.

Offering condolences to the people and government of Plateau State, the Speaker also extended prayers for the souls of the deceased and solace for their bereaved families.
