The governorship election will determine who controls Lagos – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that the governorship election on Saturday would determine who owns Lagos State.

This came as Fani-Kayode stated that Lagos State will confront the most difficult test and threat to its identity.

He asked Yorubas and people of good conscience to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday in a tweet.

“On Saturday, March 18th, Lagos State will confront the stiffest test and largest threat to its efficacy and identity since its inception,” he said. The matter of who owns Lagos will be resolved, and visitors who attempt to claim Yoruba territory as their own will be put in their place.

“I implore every Yoruba son and daughter, as well as all men and women of goodwill, to come out on that day and vote for @jidesanwoolu, who has demonstrated that he is not only a real omo-oluabi, but also a first-rate leader and administrator.”

Following the presidential election, there has been a fight in Lagos State between Yorubas and Igbos.

This came after the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, won in Lagos State.

Following the election, a market mostly populated by Igbos in Lagos State caught fire, with many blaming political thugs.
