Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, believes Sen. Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the Feb. 25 poll because of consistency, preparedness, and opportunity.
Kachikwu stated this in an Abuja statement on Friday.
“Tinubu’s win in the recently ended presidential election is a clear instance of constancy and preparedness meeting opportunity,” he remarked.
“Tinubu, a tenacious fighter with a command of the Nigerian political system, took advantage of a disunited opposition, some of whom were running exclusively on the divisive platforms of ethnicity and religion.
“Tinubu, a tenacious fighter with a command of the Nigerian political system, exploited a schism among the opposition, which was campaigning only on the divisive platforms of ethnicity and religion.
“The distortions caused by the four so-called main parties’ manipulation were not large enough to change the outcome of this election.”
Kachikwu further stated that he had previously cautioned that any vote for the Labour Party (LP) was a vote in favour of an APC victory if the PDP and LP candidates failed to establish an alliance.
According to the DRILLOGIST, Tinubu was proclaimed the victor of the Feb. 25 presidential election by the INEC on Wednesday after defeating the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and the LP’s Peter Obi.
