In the Ugborikoko Community of the Uvwie Local Government Area in Delta State, a tragic incident unfolded as a man and his girlfriend lost their lives. The couple had celebrated the girlfriend’s birthday at a night club before meeting their demise in the early hours of Monday.
After leaving the club, the deceased pair went to the lady’s shop, where they turned on the generator before going to sleep. Sadly, they passed away before daybreak.
DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the report on Tuesday morning during a telephone conversation with our correspondent in Warri.
Despite the condolences expressed by sympathizers, some criticized the deceased for causing pain to their families during the festive season. Others speculated that their untimely deaths could be the result of evil manipulations by enemies.
