Tsunami smashes PDP as APC wins Senate and House of Representatives seats in Benue, Moro, and Ojema.

In the recently ended Benue State National Assembly election, the Peoples Democratic Party was rocked by a political tidal wave.

The state’s ruling party lost virtually all of its seats to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, leaving the PDP with only two seats.

Titus Zam, a former assistant and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated Governor Samuel Ortom in the Benue Zone. A vote in the Senate.

Similarly, Ortom’s predecessor, Gabriel Suswam, lost his seat in Zone B to APC’s Emmanuel Udende.

Just Senator Abba Moro of Benue South remained in office.

The APC won nearly all of the available seats in the House of Representatives election.

So far, only Ojotu Ojema has won for the PDP in Apa/Agatu.

The APC’s Rt. Hon. Blessing Onuh maintained her seat in Otukpo/Ohimini.

In Oju/Obi, Hon. David Ogewu beat incumbent Samson Okwu.

Hon. Agbese Philip secured the APC’s seat in Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo.

Mrs Regina Akume, the former First Lady of the state, deposed the present holder of the seat in Gboko/Tarka.

Arc. Achado Asema was elected in Gwer/Gwer-west, Hon. Sekav Iyortyom in Buruku, Hon. Terseer Ugbor in Kwande/Ushongo, and Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo in Katsina-Aa/Ukum, Logo.
