A tragic auto crash claimed two lives as a speeding driver lost control of his vehicle on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The incident occurred just after the Iperu-Ogere bridge, heading towards Sagamu-Interchange in Ogun State, around 2:38 pm.
Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, confirmed the incident, revealing that two male adults lost their lives, and one female adult sustained injuries. According to Okpe, the overspeeding Toyota car driver lost control, veering into a drainage by the roadside.
The injured victim received medical attention at Victory Hospital, Ogere, while the deceased were taken to the FOS morgue in Ipara. The sequence of events underscores the dangers of overspeeding on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
