Nollywood actor and movie producer, has sparked outrage as he defended his disgraced colleague, Baba Ijesha.
It is no longer news that the embattled actor had bagged 5 years imprisonment for raping comedienne, Princess’s 14 years old daughter.
After over one year of his arrest and prosecution, an Ikeja Special Offences Court had convicted the embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement on Thursday, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.
Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of counts one and count six, which were: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.
He was thereby sentenced to 16 years imprisonment but would consecutively face only 5years.
Yomi Fabiyi who was present at the court room spoke to the media where he clamoured for the actor to have a right to appeal.
He stated that Baba Ijesha still has ample opportunities to challenge the ruling of the court until he has exhausted all his limits.
He also demanded for Princess to be punished for parental negligence.
His interview went viral and as expected many dragged him for supporting the actor.
