Mason Greenwood, a striker for Manchester United, won’t play for the team this year while an internal inquiry is ongoing.
Following his arrest in January 2022, the Premier League team suspended the 21-year-old.The Crown Prosecution Service officially dismissed all allegations against Greenwood for attempted rape, assault, and coercive behavior.United are still looking into the situation even if he has been given permission to restart his professional career.
According to The Daily Star, the inquiry won’t be finished anytime soon.Thus, it is anticipated that Greenwood will sit out the rest of the season before a decision is made regarding his future.Greenwood’s contract is valid through June 2025.
